Christmas Time

so this has been an eventful Christmas season! We had a blast getting to see and visit with a ton of family. The only bummer is that we had so many people to visit and not enough time. It's not easy to juggle our big number of family and friends all in the same town. It was nice to have Tom, Laura and Logan our way for Christmas. It was our first time seeing Logan and he is just adorable. He's active, fun, cuddly... all the things you hope for in a little one. Shirl and Spencer came down as well. It was a lot of fun getting to see them. Spencer is growing up and getting into those darn video games, but what we did get to see of him was fun. It was such a special Christmas with all of McKay's siblings here as well. Camelia, Brent, Adrienne, and Christopher underwent some serious drive time to be with us and it was so great to have them here. Camelia is an awesome auntie and seemed to really enjoy her time with Brielle. Speaking of Brielle, we also blessed little Brielle on Christmas day. It was really special. We were able to have it in our home with all of our siblings, parents, and even some aunts and uncles. It was really nice to get to see Debi, Phil, TJ, and James on Christmas and have them participate in that important event. Now we are trying to get over the holidays. One more to go (New Years tonight...) and then hopefully things will slow down a bit, we can get back into a routine, and (Brielle willing) get some rest. We love you all and hope you had a great Christmas season as well!

So it has been a month already! I can hardly believe it. Our little girl is already growing up... We went in for an appointment this week and they said she is now 9lbs 13oz and 22 inches long! She's becoming our little chunk-a-monk. We are really enjoying her. She is not the most content baby in the world, but she is such a wonderful blessing. We are all doing pretty well though! I go back to work in another week and McKay will be Mr. Mom. He is still healing.... Hopefully his next cat scan will show some progress! Well that's it for now! Love you all!

Couldn't Be Happier

So the moment that McKay and I have anticipated for 9 months has finally arrived! We had a beautiful baby girl on November 3rd, 2008; at 1:39 a.m. Our precious Brielle Rae Lauritzen has been so wonderful already and we couldn't be more elated to be parents. We thank all of you for your love and support during this exciting time and cannot wait for you to meet our little blessing.

Happy Halloween!!!

Yesterday was a beautiful Halloween here in Ridgecrest. The day started out with a semi-warm rain, stayed overcast all day, and left us with a calm evening... It was a lot of fun. McKay and I went to the bread and milk dinner at church, to the truck-or-treat afterwards, and then to a good neighborhood where Mom, Mike, Emma, Samantha, and the two of us went door to door. How did McKay get around? Like a king in his wheelchair! Luckily last night Mike did all the pushing for me. Emma seemed to really enjoy her first true trick-or-treat outing. Unfortunately, her and Samantha had a hard time getting the concept down. When I was little we ran door to door. Run + Houses with Lights on = more candy. Apparently not for these two chicks. But they had fun and that's what matters.

Baby Room!

Hopefully soon

So I know this happens to everyone... but I'm so ready for this baby to come! I walk constantly and to no avail. It's ok though... I am learning a little bit of patience. But here's an update on the belly status and next up, the baby room!

she's a comin!

So, Today I am 38 weeks pregnant! Just a couple more until the due date! We went in for a doctors appointment this last wednesday and it seems that everything is right on schedule. She is estimated at a whoppin 6lbs 11oz already and the doctor still keeps commenting on how long her little legs are :) What can you do with the Grandma Schramm gene's? McKay is getting better little by little. This last surgery is proving to be more successful already! So keep your fingers crossed and arms folded!
